Shri Ajay Kumar Agarwal belongs to the Marwari Agarwal business family. Initially, he joined his father in the business of gems and jewelry and learned the basic principles of business and administration skills. He further ventured into the business of import, trading, marketing, and retailing of timber and allied products on its own, and successfully developed the business. Later on, he ventured into the business of land development, real estate, and construction.

He acquired a land parcel and designed, constructed, and marketed residential apartments and commercial establishments in Agra, which had become landmarks during those times. Later on, he ventured into the business of import, trading, processing, refining, manufacturing, branding, marketing, and distribution of various grades of edible oil and bakery fats under its brand name through a deeply penetrated distribution network spreading across Northern, Central, and Western India. Shri. Ajay Kumar Agarwal is actively associated with many social and business organizations, policy-making decisions, and new business development.
